(EPL:TSX) Preliminary work is now underway on Eagle Plains Resource’s (EPL:TSX) Iron Range property, located in the Goat River area 15km NE of Creston, BC. The claims consist of 74 units (4,500 acres) owned 100% by Eagle Plains and carry no underlying royalties or encumbrances. The property is well situated with respect to infrastructure with a high pressure gas pipeline, high voltage hydro-electric line and major highway within 8 km of property boundaries.

Application will be filed with the CDNX to sell up to 1 million flow-through common shares at a price of $.15 CDN per share, with maximum gross proceeds of the offer expected to be $150,000. No finders fees will be paid. The financing is anticipated to close by late May.

(EPL:CDNX) has completed an option agreement that will allow it to earn a 100% interest in the Sprogge (Justin) gold property, located in east-central Yukon Territory about 35 kilometres south of the recently re-opened Cantung Mine. To earn its interest, Eagle Plains must make cash payments totaling $215,000 and complete exploration expenditures of $500,000 over 7 years. A 2% NSR is reserved for the vendor, half of which may be purchased at any time for $1,000,000.
NovaGold To Drill Eagle Plains’ McQuesten Gold Property, Yukon

(NRI:TSE) announced today that their option agreement on the McQuesten Gold Property has been amended to include a major drilling commitment. Eagle Plains has 100% interest (less 2% NSR) in the property located in the Keno Hill Mining District, 40 kilometres northeast of Mayo, Yukon. McQuesten consists of 51 quartz mining claims (2500 acres) that are accessed by the all-weather Yukon Silver Trail highway with an adjacent hydro-electric transmission line.

Eagle Plains Acquires Gold Properties Near Salmo, BC

The three claim groups (named Big Galoot, DND and IN) were targeted based on geology, access/infrastructure, and proximity to known gold mineralization as has recently been discovered by Sultan.
