Between May 30 and June 11, 2011, a team of 5 TerraLogic Exploration personnel completed a field program of prospecting/regional mapping, rock sampling and scintillometer surveys on 5 of 7 potential claim groups of the Grand Wollaston project. The purpose of the program was to complete a first pass evaluation of the claims, primarily as Rare Earth Element (REE) targets, with secondary interest in uranium, molybdenum, copper and silver.
As a result of this evaluation process, 4 claim groups were maintained and 3 were allowed to lapse in December 2012.
The Grand Wollaston group of projects currently includes 3 southern properties near the south and east limits of Wollaston Lake in northern Saskatchewan, and 1 claim block located in the north near the Manitoba border, Charcoal Lake – 100 kilometers NE of Wollaston Lake. The southern 3 properties, which include the Oreo, Wollaston and Pistol Lake claims, are conveniently located near highway 905, the main all-season road with access to the nearby Rabbit Lake and Cigar Lake Uranium Mines. The 1 northern Saskatchewan project is immediately adjacent to CanAlaska’s Misty U-REE project located in Manitoba. The mineral claims are 100% owned by Eagle Plains Resources, and are not subject to any underlying royalties or encumbrances.
